SARAH MCLEOD MUSIC Sarah McLeod Melbourne Sarah McLeod is the creative force behind ARIA Award winning, platinum selling rockers The Superjesus. With over 20 years in the industry she has experimented with many different styles and genres. Having released 3 studio albums with The Superjesus (Sumo, Jet Age and Rock Music) and two studio albums as a solo artist (Beauty Was A Tiger and Rocky’s Diner) and a handful of EDM tracks internationally collaborating with DJ’s Dzeko And Torres, Hook And Sling , Whelan & Di Scala , McLeod has proven herself to be one of Australia’s most diverse artists. McLeod’s eclectic solo performances have consistently been met with rave reviews . “ I find that when I’m playing in The Superjesus , for me it’s more about playing the guitar . My solo shows are a different though, it’s stripped back and focussed more on the vocal . I really love the peace in playing solo, to just enjoy the quiet and control the dynamics as I feel them flowing through me. Its always very impromptu, I just move with the vibe of the room .” Armed with the work ethic of a runaway train, McLeod also has a passion for acting and starred in Green Day’s American Idiot in 2018 playing the role of St Jimmy along side Grinspoon’s Phil Jameison and Magic Dirt’s Adalita to rave reviews. The Superjesus have recently completed a national tour celebrating the 20 year anniversary of Sumo and were inducted into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame in 2018. Most recently, Sarah put her acting shoes on again, performing in Shake And Stirs adaptation of Jane Eyre. She played five characters and also composed the score and played it live on stage during the play. It ran for 6 weeks at Q Pac in Brisbane.
